The City of Paris Electric Deparment ensures all customers have sufficient electricty in proper working order within the city of Paris. The department installs new service to any new construction occurring within its realm of operation. It also ensures proper installation in new construction through thorough inspections. Additionally, the department trims and removes limbs and foliage that may put service in jeopardy during a storm or wintery weather conditions. When conditions are warranted they repair any lines which may have been knocked down or broken. The department also repairs street lights that are no longer operational.

Water Department

The City of Paris Water Deparment is responsible for maintaining the main water lines for all its customers in adequate operating condition. The department also installs new service to new construction and repairs any lines that become damaged or inoperable.

Street Department

The City of Paris Street Department maintains and ensures all roadways in the City of Paris are sufficient for proper vehicle operation. The department operates on a strict and limited budget and does so with exceptional ability. The department also ensures all ditches are in proper operating condition by removing any unnecessary debris that may interfere with proper drainage.
Sanitation

The City of Paris Sanitation Deparment collects household waste on a weekly basis throughout the city. Additionally, the department also removes yard waste (i.e. tree and brush limbs capable of being placed in a chipper and leaves) on a routine basis. Twice a year, normally during the last weeks of April and September, the department holds a city wide cleanup. These week long events allow residents to part with larger items that they can not dispose of during the normal weekly trash removal. During these events, the department will pick up items not normally accepted like mattresses, non-working stoves, hot water heaters, refrigerators, televisions, etc.

Sewer Department

The City of Paris Sewer Deparment is responsible for ensuring all main sewer lines for its customers are free from blockage. Additionally, the department services pump stations throughout the city.

Water Treatment Plant

The City of Paris Water Treatment Plant provides customers with state approved drinking water. The plant uses certain levels of chemicals required by the state to make the water safe to drink.

Sanitary Landfill

The Paris Sanitary Landfill/Transfer station is open on Fridays and Saturdays only from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Except when a holiday falls on Friday or Saturday then the schedule will change. For customers living in the City limits, the charge is $12 per cubic yard, plus tax. Customers living out of the city limits, the charge is $14 per cubic yard, plus tax.
