YELL COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT

Danville’s Police Department has 6 full time officers who work closely with the Yell County Sheriff’s Department which is also headquartered in Danville. The Yell County Juvenile Detention Center is located in Danville and is administered by the County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Bill Gilkey The Yell County Sheriff is responsible for managing the Yell County Sheriff's Department, which has law enforcement jurisdiction throughout Yell County, as well as the two county jails, the Juvenile Detention Center, tax collection, and court security and bailiff services along with serving civil papers.
